Guides
The same short guides you find in Picky Hub. Each one shows a single feature in a few steps.
Getting started
Section titled “Getting started”- Ask by voice: Ask out loud about what’s on screen and get the answer right on it.
- Ask by typing: When you can’t talk, type into a box beside your cursor.
- Hand long work to a Pickle: Give work to its own Pi session and follow it from the Dock.
- Mark the screen while you ask: Draw a dot or a circle while you ask, so Picky knows exactly where you mean.
- See which screen is shared: A blue edge marks the screen that goes with your request. Leave it out if you prefer.
- Clear a drawing or stop a reply: Clear drawings left on screen, or stop an answer while it is in progress.
- Tour the Hub: Open Hub from the menu bar and look at the Dashboard and Recent Conversation.
Basics
Section titled “Basics”- Follow up or steer a running Pickle: While a Pickle is working, Return steers it now and Option + Return queues a follow-up for after its reply.
- Answer a Pickle’s question: When a Pickle asks something, a dot appears at the end of its Dock row. Answer right in its card.
- Organize your Dock: Group related Pickles, and press and hold one to archive it. Undo is one click away.
- Move fast with shortcuts: Hold Command to see numbers in the Dock. Open a Pickle by number, or jump to an unread one with a single shortcut.
- Get notified when it’s done: Turn on completion alerts per Pickle and macOS tells you when the work is done.
Intermediate
Section titled “Intermediate”- Send your next input to one Pickle: Send a voice or Quick Input request straight to the Pickle you choose instead of the main agent.
- Attach files, and use @ and / suggestions: Drop in files, then pick files with @ and commands with /.
- Check the results: Read a finished Pickle’s reply as a report and see which tools it ran.
- Start your first task from Quick Start: Pick a task in Hub Quick Start and Picky asks for what it needs, one question at a time.
- Install a plugin: Find a capability in Hub and install it; live sessions pick it up right away.
Advanced
Section titled “Advanced”- Teach Picky a rule: Tell Picky a rule to keep, and it writes the rule into AGENTS.md.
- Continue in your terminal: Continue a Pickle’s Pi session in your own terminal, then bring the work back to its card.
- Scheduled jobs: Create a recurring job by asking, then check its runs and plan in the Hub calendar.
- Connect an MCP server: Add an MCP server and choose whether only the main agent can use it.
- Continue on your phone: Turn on web access and pair your phone to check on Pickles while you’re away.
- Hand a Pi session to Picky: Hand the work from a Pi terminal to a new Pickle and keep going.
