0.17.0

October 17, 2026

Highlights

Section titled “Highlights”
  • Updates now come from https://dl.picky.day/appcast.xml, and the reinstall and share links open https://picky.day. Installs on this version keep updating after the source repository goes private.
  • New review window for Pickle changes: uncommitted work, the whole branch, or one commit, with syntax colors, side-by-side layout, Command-F, copy, and line comments sent as one follow-up.
  • Name your main agent in onboarding or Settings; the name shows across conversation labels, Quick Input, questions, and phone rooms.
  • Long replies open in a report panel beside the HUD card, and LLM reply bubbles are wider.

Changes

Section titled “Changes”
  • Dock: collapsed groups show running Pickles, the vertical dock can be pinned open, and empty groups draw as a Pickle-sized row.
  • Composer: a sent message appears at once as a dimmed bubble, pasted clipboard images attach, and answered ask_user_question forms stay on screen, locked.
  • Reliability: finished answers survive restarts and cut-off responses resume; restored Pickles keep one runtime each; a restart that stopped a Pickle says what it did not send; pickle-list no longer crashes agentd with very large session lists and gains totals and cursor paging.
  • Accounts and errors: Picky offers to connect an account when no AI sign-in works and explains when screen capture is refused.
  • Voice: ElevenLabs TTS defaults to eleven_v4 with text-to-dialogue; Edge TTS fails over on forbidden handshakes.
  • Archived Pickles older than 30 days are deleted automatically, except blocked ones.
  • Scheduled jobs list pending runs first and mark mixed run days.
  • Bundled Pi SDK 1.2.0.
